Great liturgical music rant

Very enjoyable rant from Gerald Augustinus here: The Cafeteria Is Closed: Angry screed - Let me tell you how I really feel. Lots of good comments, too. Apparently, Pope Benedict in his book "Sing a new song to the Lord" defended the idea of the choir singing the ordinary on the grounds that the assembly delegates the choir to sing on its behalf. Just one more reason to revere our beloved Holy Father. Oh, and he had Mozart's Coronation Mass as the musical setting at the Papal Mass for the 500th anniversary of the Swiss Guard.
